Guangdong is set to experience another round of cold and wet weather, with temperatures expected to fall significantly on December 25. According to the China Meteorological Administration, a new cold front is currently moving across the country, bringing cooler conditions to southern regions, including Guangdong.

The cold air reached northern parts of Guangdong on the morning of December 24, extending to central and southern areas by evening. During this period, temperatures dropped by 4–7°C, accompanied by scattered light rain.

The lowest temperatures are likely to occur in the early morning of December 26, with some areas in northern Guangdong seeing temperatures of 5°C or lower. Frost may occur in high-altitude mountainous regions. Strong northeasterly winds of up to force 6–7, with gusts reaching force 8, are also expected in coastal waters from December 25 to 26.
In Guangzhou, the cold air will begin to affect the city on December 25. The average daily temperature is expected to fall by 4–6°C, with the minimum temperature dropping to around 11°C. Winds over land will strengthen to force 4–6, while gusts in port areas and elevated regions may reach force 6–8.

Another weaker cold front is forecast to move eastward and southward around December 28–29, though it is not expected to significantly alter the overall mild winter pattern.
