Guangdong Province is set for drier and sunnier conditions in the coming days following a period of overcast, rainy weather in early March. According to provincial and city meteorological observatories, temperatures are expected to rise, with a notable shift toward clearer skies starting mid-week.

From March 5, a weak cold air mass will move into the region, significantly reducing cloud cover. Scattered showers are forecast for March 5 across much of the province, but conditions are expected to clear, becoming cloudy and then mostly sunny by the afternoon. March 6 and 7 are expected to be predominantly sunny to partly cloudy throughout Guangdong.
Temperatures will increase moderately, with larger diurnal variations. However, mornings and evenings will remain cool. The lowest temperatures on March 6–7 are expected to be around 9–12 °C in northern Guangdong, 17–20 °C in the western and southern parts of the Pearl River Delta, and 13–16 °C in other areas. In Guangzhou, maximum temperatures are forecast to reach the mid-20s °C by the weekend.
Moderate northeasterly winds are also forecast for the period. The changing conditions are typical of early spring in southern China. Residents are advised to prepare for cooler mornings and warmer afternoons and to carry light rain gear on March 5 due to the possibility of isolated showers.
