Guangdong is expected to experience scattered showers and occasional thunderstorms through midweek, with rainfall gradually diminishing from October 13 to 16, according to the Guangdong Meteorological Service.
On October 13, a southeasterly airflow will bring mostly cloudy to overcast conditions across much of the province, accompanied by scattered showers or thunderstorms and isolated heavy rain. Daytime highs are forecast to reach 31–33 °C in Shaoguan, Heyuan, and Meizhou, and around 28–31 °C in other areas.
From October 14 to 16, an easterly airflow will dominate coastal areas from western Guangdong to the southern Pearl River Delta, while weak cold air will affect northern parts of the province. Scattered showers or brief thunderstorms are likely in these regions, with mainly cloudy skies elsewhere. As drier air moves in, rainfall intensity is expected to decrease each day.
Temperatures will generally range from 29 °C in the north to 35 °C in the central and southern parts of Guangdong, with early morning and evening fog possible in some areas.
