Guangdong is bracing for a stretch of hot, humid days from August 8 to 11, with scattered afternoon thunderstorms forecast across the province. Despite the end of the latest round of heavy rain, officials warn that the risk of geological hazards remains due to delayed effects, especially in areas that recently experienced severe downpours.
