The launch ceremony for the third "Che Shui Ma Long" Festival of the 2025 Two Rivers Loop in Nanzhuang Town, Chancheng District, Foshan City, was held on September 5. The "Che Shui Ma Long" Festival, first launched in Nanzhuang, consists of four parts: Appealing Auto Purchase, Charming Water Town Tour, Dragon Boat Marathon, and Golden Autumn Fire Dragon Dance. It has become a significant cultural and tourism brand event in Nanzhuang and throughout Foshan. This year's event will run from September 20 to October 8.
The third "Che Shui Ma Long" Festival was officially kicked off on September 5.
The 16th Five-Person Dragon Boat Race, also known as the "Dragon Boat Marathon," introduced a town-wide league system. Over 70 dragon boat races will be held throughout the year.
The final, held on September 27, attracted 249 participating teams, an increase of over 17% compared to last year. In addition to local village teams and powerhouse corporate teams, participants included teams from Foshan's 11 towns and sub-districts, as well as teams from Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Jiangmen, and Zhongshan. The overall prize money for this year's event exceeded 700,000 yuan, with prizes including 7 tons of roasted pork and more than 700 cases of beverages and alcohol.
The five-person Dragon Boat Race has attracted teams to participate.
During this event, the water town tour program will focus on launching the tourism route of Nanzhuang Town's urban-rural integration development zone. Connecting 36 characteristic spots, this route provides "one-day premium tours" and "two-day in-depth tours" for urban leisure micro-vacations, offering a variety of experiences such as dragon boat races, water sports, music, leisure cycling, water town cuisine, and intangible cultural heritage martial arts.
Golden Autumn Fire Dragon Dance
Nanzhuang will also host a car show from October 1 to 4, where various preferential policies, such as national and government subsidies and merchant promotions, will combine to release a total of over 10 million yuan in discounts. Additionally, it will develop various areas, including a test drive experience area and a camping leisure area.
