According to the Guangdong Kite Association, the 2025 Yangjiang International Kite Invitational will be held from October 29 to October 30 at No. 1 Silver Beach on Hailing Island, Yangjiang.

The invitational, supported by Yangjiang Nuclear Power, attracts 125 kite teams with a total of 426 contestants, including 53 foreign teams—2.5 times the number recorded last year—from countries and regions such as Australia, Malaysia, and France.

This competition features four major categories—traditional kites, modern kites, sport kites, and stunt kites—covering a total of 12 events, including dragon-head centipede kites, winged kites, soft kites, ground-rolling dragon kites, kite ballet, and night-flying kite shows.

The "2025 Cultural and Tourism Promotion Series & Kite Carnival" from October 29 to November 8 will be launched at the main venue of the kite competition. The Carnival features activities such as intangible cultural heritage showcases, gourmet fairs, parent-child study tours, and nighttime shopping experiences.

The kite invitational is jointly organized by the International Kite Federation, the Chinese Kite Association, and the Yangjiang Municipal People's Government.
