6th Greater Bay Area Young Artist Music Week concludes in Macao

The 6th Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Young Artist Music Week was held from January 29 to February 2, 2026 in Macao, attracting young musical talents from around the world.

Nearly 6,000 participants and audience members attended the event, including performers from across China and overseas audition zones. The national finals and an award concert covered five categories: piano, vocal music, traditional Chinese music, orchestral music, and modern music.

Supporting programs included a music education forum, masterclasses, lectures and meet-the-master sessions. Renowned musicians and educators, such as Wong Sun-tat and Nogi Nariya, provided guidance and instruction, offering valuable learning opportunities for participants and teachers.

Supported by government departments in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, the Music Week is a youth arts education initiative driven by social organizations, music institutions and professional musicians.
