In August, Foshan's Nanhai sent out invitations to fellow townsfolk in 32 countries and regions across five continents. From October 30 to November 2, Nanhai will host the 2025 Nanhai People Global Conference. Over 800 fellow townsfolk from home and abroad will embark on their journey back to their hometown of Nanhai to attend this event.

To be hosted by the People's Government of Nanhai District, the event is organized by the Nanhai District Overseas Friendship Association and co-organized by several Hong Kong and Macao associations. During the four-day event, Nanhai will set up one main venue and multiple sub-venues. Through a rich arrangement that includes four conferences, two promotional events, one key inspection tour, and seven town/sub-district experience activities, it will comprehensively demonstrate the development vitality of Nanhai.
From exploring cultural landmarks such as the Nanhai Guild Hall and "The Eternal Love of Guangdong" (a large-scale cultural performance) to witnessing a series of intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, and from cultural root-seeking to industrial exploration, these diverse activities will allow fellow townsfolk to understand the transformation of their hometown.
Taking this World Conference of Nanhai Compatriots as a bridge, Nanhai sincerely invites fellow townsfolk worldwide to return home for a visit.
