The Nansha Global Language Grove & International Talent Carnival, held recently at Juxing Garden in Innovation Bay, brought together more than 200 foreign experts, young professionals, and language enthusiasts for a vibrant celebration of cultural exchange. The event highlighted Nansha's ongoing initiative to establish itself as a leading international talent hub in China.
A key moment of the gathering was the unveiling of the outdoor sign for the "Nansha Global Language Grove," solidifying its role as a permanent platform for intercultural communication. The carnival featured a rich lineup of multicultural performances, including a heartfelt Russian ballad and a dynamic African drum show. Interactive games encouraged collaboration between Chinese and international attendees, while a jazz performance and a Canadian participant's rendition of a classic Cantonese song led to a room-wide singalong—illustrating the theme of "culture without borders."
"I can say with certainty and pride that Nansha is like my second home," shared Sebastian from Colombia. "Its transportation infrastructure is highly efficient and greatly benefits my foreign trade business. It's one of the main reasons I've settled here long-term." He also mentioned Juxing Garden as one of his favorite destinations, where he enjoys music, socializing with friends, and the scenic views along the Jiaomen River.
Vita, who has lived in Nansha for five years, praised the area's rapid development in public transportation and leisure facilities. "Events like the International Talent Carnival make it very easy for expats to meet new people and feel at home. With delicious food, good drinks, beautiful surroundings, and my loved ones—what more could you ask for?" she remarked.
