The highly anticipated Shenzhen Bay Culture Park is nearing its opening, with the recent completion of its exterior facade bringing it a step closer to welcoming the public. As one of Shenzhen's premier cultural facilities of the new era, the park has already garnered significant attention for its striking architectural design.
Covering approximately 51,000 square meters, the complex is divided into the North Museum, South Museum, and a Theme Museum, featuring four floors above ground and three below ground.
The venue houses an impressive nine exhibition museums, providing 50,000 square meters of dedicated display space, along with a 20,000-square-meter collection storage area. It is organized into three main exhibition zones: a permanent exhibition zone, a thematic exhibition zone, and an international exhibition zone.
Among its notable features is the 27-meter-high "One Gallery," a spectacular exhibition space. The permanent exhibition zone presents a comprehensive design ecosystem, guiding visitors chronologically from ancient to modern times through a carefully curated collection of artifacts.
Focusing on Chinese craftsmanship and design, the thematic exhibition zone explores the contemporary reinterpretation of traditional culture, bridging cultural heritage with modern design. It also collaborates with time-honored brands to explore new pathways for industrial development.
Demonstrating a global perspective, the international exhibition zone partners with prestigious institutions such as the Design Museum and Tate Modern, hosting exhibitions by renowned artists like Es Devlin and Anthony McCall.
Beyond the exhibition areas, the park offers diverse cultural spaces, including a Design Material Library and a cutting-edge technology exhibition field, which will debut the INNO100 initiative.
Supporting these facilities is a range of multi-functional amenities designed to create a comprehensive cultural and social hub. These include a 720-seat primitive theater, a 330-seat design auditorium, an art street located on B1, a design center, lifestyle spaces, themed restaurants, and cultural creative stores.
Scheduled for full completion and handover in 2025, the Shenzhen Bay Culture Park will seamlessly connect with the talent park and surrounding commercial areas upon opening. It is poised to evolve into a vibrant public cultural space, integrating cultural exhibitions, artistic performances, and leisure experiences.
