Hengqin and Macao residents watch China's V-Day parade together

On the morning of September 3, China held a massive military parade in central Beijing to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

People in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin watched a live broadcast of China's V-Day parade, including many Macao staff, representatives of Macao social service organizations, and Macao residents.

Ma Zhuofeng, a first-year postgraduate student from the University of Macau, traveled early from Macao to Hengqin to watch the live broadcast with over 200 Hengqin and Macao residents in a cinema. He said, "The new weapons and equipment shown in the parade reminded me of my major. Seeing the application of technology was exciting and encouraging, and it strengthened my confidence in my future career path."

Two young entrepreneurs from Macao, Tan Hangyu and Hong Yude, who started their businesses in Hengqin, shared their thoughts. They expressed hope that in the future, more Macao youth would be inspired to promote the integrated development of Hengqin, Macao, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and contribute to national development.

After watching the live broadcast in the industrial park in Hengqin, Macao entrepreneur Zhang Haoren, whose company operates in the healthcare sector, could not hide his excitement.

"As a technology-based startup in the field of biomedicine and health, we aim to specialize in our field and improve our products, achieving more domestic innovation in high-end medical equipment. By doing so, we can provide people with better and more affordable services. This is our way of contributing to a strong nation through technological innovation."
