From September 9 to 10, a six-member delegation from Al Jazeera Media Network visited Guangzhou. Established on November 1, 1996, and headquartered in Doha, the capital of Qatar, Al Jazeera Media Network is the first independent news channel in the Arab world.
During the two-day itinerary, the delegation visited the Canton Tower, where they enjoyed a panoramic view of the city's modern skyline. They also toured Guangzhou MINO Equipment and Baiyun Power Group, gaining an in-depth insight into Guangzhou's achievements in the digital transformation and upgrading of its manufacturing sector, as well as its transition toward green and smart energy solutions.
"We will be showing our people what is the flavor of Guangzhou soon!"said Talal Abdulkarim, head of Al Jazeera digital delegation. "This city is amazing because it's a mix of technology and humanity," said Hamed Badawy, producer of Al Jazeera Media Network.
