Hengqin delegation visits Angola, promoting cooperation ties

A delegation from the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, led by Deputy Director of the Executive Committee Fu Yongge, recently concluded a visit to Luanda, Angola. The tour featured enterprise meetings, government consultations, project inspections, and culminated in the signing of a pivotal cooperation agreement.

During the visit, the delegation called on the Chinese Embassy in Angola and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Angola (CCIA), and inspected China Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd. (CGGC) Angola Limited to assess the local business ecosystem. This paved the way for a framework agreement between CCIA and the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries International Trade Center Operation Management Company, committing to enhanced collaboration in trade development, information exchange, technical assistance, and the expansion of commercial opportunities.

The delegation paid a field visit to the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone, held discussions with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Angola, and had an inspection of the new Luanda International Airport project constructed by China National Aero-technology International Engineering Corporation. The delegation also held talks with Angola's Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rui Miguêns de Oliveira.

The visit has built up a transcontinental bridge linking Chinese and Lusophone markets, injecting new momentum into multilateral cooperation between China, Africa, and Portuguese-speaking nations while advancing the replicable "Hengqin approach" for international collaboration.
