The tax refund point for departing passengers at the Pazhou Ferry Terminal, Guangzhou, officially began operations on March 1, further enhancing the port's cross-border travel services. Foreign visitors leaving from the terminal can now enjoy a streamlined, one-stop tax refund verification process, significantly improving the convenience of cross-border travel and shopping.

With the launch of this service, the terminal has achieved a seamless workflow linking customs inspection, tax refund processing, and boarding. Departing tourists need only complete two steps to receive their refunds: first, present tax-refundable items for customs verification during exit procedures; second, register for the refund at the designated tax refund counter before boarding their ferry.

To ensure smooth operations, Guangzhou Customs has strengthened inter-departmental coordination, while also deploying translation devices and assigning multilingual staff to provide on-site assistance. During the trial period from February 15 to February 28, the total value of verified tax refund applications for foreign tourists reached approximately 25,000 yuan.
