Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station launches new free bus, baggage service, and seating

Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station has introduced three new passenger-friendly services: a free shuttle bus, a luggage delivery option, and additional seating, to enhance convenience and comfort for travelers ahead of the 2026 Spring Festival travel rush.

Starting January 1, 2026, the free Baiyun Station-Baiyun Airport shuttle bus will be available to passengers holding same-day train and flight tickets. Operating from 9:00 to 18:00 with departures every 15-20 minutes, the non-stop service takes 30-40 minutes between the airport and the station's South Departure Platform (Gate 4), offering seamless rail-air transfer.

The station has also launched a baggage service in partnership with local providers. Passengers with valid tickets can book door-to-station or station-to-door luggage pickup and delivery within 35 km of the station via the 12306 app or China Railway Express mini-program. Fees start at RMB 68 per item for basic pickup or delivery, and RMB 98 for platform-level service.

Additionally, 1,598 new public seating units have been installed across key areas, including entrances, exits, waiting halls, and taxi pickup zones. This initiative, supported by local government and corporate partners, aims to reduce waiting stress for elderly passengers, families, and those with heavy luggage.

Since taking on more high-speed rail services following the 2025 schedule adjustment, Baiyun Station has seen growing passenger numbers. These upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to improve service quality and accommodate rising travel demand. The station management stated that further enhancements are planned to develop Baiyun into a modern, efficient, and passenger-centered transport hub.
