The service, launched on September 26 by the airport and Hong Kong Customs, builds on a trial that began in April this year and utilizes the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge as a streamlined route into the Chinese mainland.

Hong Kong International Airport has been ranked the world's busiest cargo airport 14 times since 2010. It was also the first airport worldwide to be fully recognized by the International Air Transport Association for meeting high standards in special-cargo handling, including fresh and frozen goods. The airport operates Asia's largest fleet of refrigerated trailers, and its cargo terminals are equipped with advanced cold-chain facilities to ensure perishable products remain fresh and safe during transit.
