With Spring Festival travelers flooding Guangzhou South Railway Station, Chen Xuan can be found weaving through the waiting hall each day, offering directions, answering questions and easing journeys for overseas visitors.

Fluent in English, Korean, Japanese and Nepali, Chen, the passenger service agent assisted more than 300 foreign travelers in the first five days of the annual travel rush alone. From ticket inquiries to boarding guidance, Chen helped make first-time visits to China smoother and less stressful.

"As Spring Festival approaches, more international travelers are coming to Guangdong province to experience the holiday," she said.

To better serve foreign passengers, the station has rolled out multilingual translation devices at key service points and provides regular language training for frontline staff.

During this year's 40-day travel rush, the station, one of the key transportation hubs in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, is expected to handle 21.35 million passenger trips, representing a year-on-year increase of 3.3 percent.
