The 2025 Hengqin Marathon is scheduled for December 28, in the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, with the start and finish line set at Central Park, Hengqin Financial Island.
To ensure the smooth progress of the race and road safety during the event, temporary traffic control measures will be implemented on some roads in phases and sections throughout the race period, in accordance with relevant road traffic safety laws and regulations.
Dynamic control measures will be in place on December 28, the race day. Traffic police will implement section-based traffic control on the race route starting at 7:00 AM on December 28, which will then be lifted sequentially as the race progresses.
On race day, the passage of dangerous chemical transport vehicles and medium or larger trucks (including medium-sized) will be prohibited. All vehicles are prohibited from parking, and placing any items on the roads is forbidden to ensure the normal conduct of the race.
The time for resuming normal traffic on controlled road sections will be determined by the traffic management authorities based on the race situation. Residents and entities along the race route are advised to plan alternative routes in advance to avoid travel disruptions.
During the control period, drivers in Hengqin should adjust their travel plans ahead of time and follow detour signs. It is recommended to use Hengqin Bridge, Hengqin Second Bridge, or Hengqin Tunnel to exit the island; trucks should exit via Hong'ao Avenue, Central Avenue, and Hengqin Tunnel. Drivers entering Hengqin should use Hengqin Bridge (those coming from downtown to Hengqin Port can take the auxiliary road of Huandao East Road to the overpass) or Hengqin Second Bridge.
