New cross-border bus service enhances Shenzhen-Hong Kong integration

A new direct bus route linking Hong Kong with Shenzhen's Nanshan district was launched on September 27, enhancing cross-border connectivity ahead of China's National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday.

The direct bus line offers regular daily services, reducing travel barriers for leisure, family visits, and shopping.

The newly launched line provides efficient and convenient service. Departing from Shenzhen, stops include Nantou Ancient Town (East Gate) and Tianxia Xincun Archway, with regular morning, midday, and evening departures directly to central Hong Kong.

Chan Wai-kwong, chairman of the Hong Kong Nantou Fellowship Association, described the route as "not just a transport link, but also a connection between people and economies," which is expected to encourage greater flows of people, goods, and information.

Hong Kong resident Ms. Chan Yu-lin noted the convenience of arriving directly near Nanshan's commercial areas, while a Nanshan café owner reported an immediate increase in Hong Kong customers, leading him to consider adding Hong Kong-style dishes to his menu.

Coinciding with the launch, Nanshan also opened a rural products fair featuring goods from around China.
