Oyster Food & Culture Week to open in Yangjiang

An oyster food culture week and agro-culture-tourism integration promotion conference will open on December 21 in Chengcun Town, Yangxi County, Yangjiang.

During the event, a top 10 Yangxi products selection will take place. Renowned food critics, scholars, and media representatives will evaluate and identify the most representative products across multiple dimensions, including cultural significance, quality, taste, embodiment of Yangjiang's regional identity, and packaging design.

Meanwhile, the Chengcun Oyster Food Culture Photography and Short Video Competition has officially launched. Photographers and content creators are encouraged to capture the industry stories and culinary culture of Chengcun oysters through their lenses.

Additionally, a cooking competition will be held with renowned chefs as judges, allowing top cooks to compete on the same stage and enabling residents and visitors to experience refined oyster-cooking techniques up close and savor the oysters' distinctive flavors.

At the same time, the Oyster King Competition will showcase the freshest and plumpest Chengcun oysters, culminating in the annual selection of the "Oyster King."

A specialty agricultural products and Oyster King exhibition area will be set up to promote high-quality agricultural products.

On December 21, oyster cuisine promotion events will also be hosted, inviting residents and visitors to enjoy a grand oyster feast. Meanwhile, a consumption promotion event will run from December 20 to 25.
