A bilingual map for global food lovers to savor Shunde's cuisine!

As the National Day Golden Week approaches, the Chinese-English bilingual version of "A Bite of Shunde Food Map" was launched on the "South" and "Nanfang Plus" apps on September 30. Integrating high-quality food resources, store displays, and navigation guidance, the map serves as a "pocket guide" for global diners to explore the culinary delights of Foshan's Shunde, a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.

The map comprehensively covers food resources across 10 towns and subdistricts in Shunde, including a total of 216 catering outlets. Among them, Ronggui – a "Famous Chinese Culinary Town" – leads with 32 outlets; Beijiao, Xingtan, and Longjiang each have 24; Daliang, Lecong, Lunjiao, and Leliu each have 20; Chencun has 19; and Jun'an has 13.

The first batch of included outlets features not only landmark establishments such as "Famous Chinese Restaurants" (中华餐饮名店) and "A Bite of Shunde · Golden Phoenix Restaurants" (寻味顺德·金凤凰餐厅) but also a number of hidden gems cherished by local insiders. It caters to the culinary needs of consumers at different levels, building a new bridge for the international dissemination of Cantonese cuisine culture and helping Shunde's flavors transcend borders to reach the world.

The map presents Shunde's culinary landscape through a three-level menu:

The first level is divided by towns and subdistricts;

The second level is categorized into five categories: "Traditional Shunde Cuisine", "Specialty Snacks", "Dim Sum Brunch & Desserts", "Fusion Cuisine", and "Late-Night Snacks";

The third level displays store introductions, signature dishes, business hours, and integrates navigation.

Furthermore, the English version of the map uses authentic translations, reducing dining barriers for international tourists, facilitating cross-lingual culinary exploration, and further promoting the spread of Cantonese cuisine culture.

In the future, the bilingual map will continue to be upgraded. It will incorporate more high-quality food resources, add interactive features such as food review sharing and story collection, and further enhance international-friendly services.
