Game on, taste on! 2025 Guangzhou International Gourmet Festival opens at Liede International Neighborhood

On November 21, the 2025 Guangzhou International Gourmet Festival opened at Liede International Neighborhood, where the excitement of the 15th National Games meets international gastronomy.

The event will run from November 21 to 23 at the Haoyi Tianhe Comprehensive Service Center, Liede International Neighborhood. Centered on international culinary offerings, sports and healthy dining, fun and interaction, the three-day immersive festival features five highlighted areas that allow visitors to enjoy global flavors while experiencing the vibes of the 15th National Games.

At the Haoyi Tianhe Comprehensive Service Center, 10 international food vendors offer cross-regional specialties ranging from European classics to Southeast Asian flavors. Five nutrition stalls focusing on sports nutrition serve low-fat, high-protein creative light meals designed for enjoyment and athletic replenishment.

Felipe, co-founder of the Spanish restaurant Mezomd at the nearby Canton Place and a long-time resident of the neighborhood, noted that it is very important to continue hosting events like this, as they help mix people from different countries. “The festival has a wide range of food choices here, so people can enjoy themselves!”

Paul, a dance performer and attendee of the event, exclaimed that this is a wonderful and beautiful occasion. “Lots of guests and lots of cuisine from many countries!” He also noted that the event is not only promoting delicious food but also encouraging a healthy trend. “I see there's some food good for your health, like whole foods. I like this very much!”

Three themed challenge zones are also set up to bring a light-hearted fitness experience to the festival, inviting visitors to move, play, and enjoy friendly competition. Interactive games such as reaction challenges, ping-pong, and pickleball allow participants to test their reflexes, coordination, and energy levels during breaks from food enjoyment.

The Liede International Neighborhood mascot, LIDE, debuts a pop-up shop at Canton Place, accompanied by 15th National Games-themed decorations and eye-catching photo opportunities. Visitors may take part in on-site check-ins to unlock exclusive commemorative merchandise.
