New children's palace set to open in Foshan's Xiqiao

A new children's palace is scheduled to open in October in Xiqiao Town, Foshan, offering a range of educational and recreational activities for children aged 3 to 12. The facility, named Xiqiao Town Children's Palace (Youwei Pavilion), spans 1,250 square meters and is located on the lower ground floor of the Youwei Pavilion at Tingyin Lake Square in Nanhai District.

The palace includes multiple specialized rooms designed for various activities, including speech and arts studios, innovation labs, calligraphy rooms, chess rooms, and international literacy spaces. Art rooms measure between 40 and 50 square meters each, while dance studios are larger, with one covering 87 square meters and another 120 square meters, accommodating groups of 20 to 30 children. Additional facilities include a reception area, reading zone, meeting rooms, and administrative offices.

Courses offered at the palace aim to support creative and cognitive development. Programs include art, dance, speech training, technology, calligraphy, chess, and international awareness studies. The curriculum is designed to encourage skills such as critical thinking, cultural appreciation, and communication.

Teachers at the palace are reported to have professional expertise and experience, including senior academics among the staff. Instruction will be tailored to different age groups and skill levels, focusing on personalized learning plans.

The palace will also provide opportunities for participants to take part in national graded examinations and competitions, allowing them to gain certifications and experience. These activities are intended to build confidence and practical skills.

Designed with colorful and themed interiors, the facility aims to create an engaging environment for young learners. Spaces such as leisure areas and reading zones are incorporated to support social interaction and relaxation.

The children's palace will serve as a supportive platform for children's development and creative exploration. It is expected to open to the public in October.
