On September 28, the 2025 "Leyili Cup" Dragon Boat Race took place in Lishui Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City. The Xiasha team from Shachong Community claimed the championship title, achieving a four-peat.
The event attracted over 50 dragon boat teams, featuring traditional teams from various villages and communities, as well as many new residents, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, and corporate employees. Together, they competed fervently on the Lishui River, showcasing the enduring spirit of dragon boat racing.
Since its inaugural edition in 2013, the Lishui Jinlong Festival has been held ten times. What began as a simple dragon boat race has evolved into a comprehensive event integrating sports, culture, and tourism, becoming a cherished collective memory for generations of Lishui residents.
