Dongguan, a global toy manufacturing hub in Guangdong Province, hosted a recruitment fair at Wuhan University in Hubei Province on October 28, drawing over 120 enterprises offering 4,000 jobs.

During the promotion session, Dongguan Vice Mayor Li Jun highlighted the city's strong manufacturing base, vibrant innovation ecosystem, and green environment. She noted that Dongguan—one of the few Chinese cities with a GDP above one trillion yuan and a population over ten million—is a key hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Dongguan offers a range of incentives for talent, including free accommodation for up to 15 days, subsidies of up to 100,000 yuan for new graduates, housing support of up to five million yuan, and R&D grants reaching 10 million yuan. Graduates can also obtain household registration in Dongguan even before securing employment.

The delegation included 15 listed firms, 26 specialized and innovative enterprises, 10 "little giants," and seven of China's top 500 private companies, offering roles across electronics, new energy, biomedicine, and intelligent manufacturing.

Other major employers also presented attractive opportunities. Shengyi Electronics recruited R&D and quality engineering talent with salaries up to 14,000 yuan per month, while Dongyangguang Pharmaceutical provided positions in drug development and AI-driven pharmaceuticals, along with free housing, shuttle services, and educational subsidies. Dongguan City College was hiring faculty nationwide in AI and intelligent manufacturing.
