The Guangdong–Macao dance work "THE HAND" is set to grace the stage of Guangzhou Opera House from July 25 to 26.
Co-produced by the Guangdong Modern Dance Company, Zhuhai Jinwan Arts Center, and Macau Experimental Theatre, "THE HAND" uses the hand as a symbolic motif, blending contemporary dance, poetry, and spatial storytelling to unravel the cultural DNA and shared memories of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The piece follows a poet's surreal encounter with "the perfect hand" during a search for "the one-meter lake" in a GBA hotel, evolving into a journey of creative fantasy. Breaking from traditional theatre, it merges dance and poetry to reflect the subtle interplay between people and their urban surroundings through the imagery of "the hand." It presents a cultural landscape where modernity and tradition intertwine, shaped by the unique cultural heritage of the Greater Bay Area.
