Yangshan County in Qingyuan, Guangdong, is entering peak fruit harvest season, with signature varieties such as eagle-beak peaches, grapes, and jaboticaba flooding the local market.

The county recorded a total fruit output of 37,000 tonnes in the first half of 2025, representing a 7.3% year-on-year increase, which generated nearly 230 million yuan in value.

In Songmu village, eagle-beak peaches hang heavily from the trees, prized for their thin skin and crisp, juicy flesh. In Shuijian village, early-season pears boast a porcelain-like sheen, and their flesh remains white long after slicing.
(Watermelon)
Lingbei town's vineyard yields nearly 10,000 kilograms of emerald-green Shine Muscat grapes, rich with a rose aroma. Meanwhile, farmers in Gangtou village are intercropping watermelons and chestnuts to maximize land use and sunlight.
(Jaboticaba)
In Dacedong village, a grower has planted 28,000 jaboticaba trees, producing around 25,000 kilograms annually, mainly selling to tourists and specialty buyers.
The region's diverse, eco-friendly farming practices are not only boosting sales but also attracting tourists, bringing new energy to Yangshan's rural revitalization efforts.
