Customs authorities across Guangdong have investigated a total of 32,000 patent-infringing goods since 2025, protecting intellectual property and innovation.
Officers from Dapeng Customs under Shenzhen Customs intercepted a shipment of patent-infringing photovoltaic equipment worth tens of millions of yuan.
Customs has strengthened joint IP protection within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Customs authorities in the province have collaborated with Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR Customs, sharing information and coordinating across regions to prevent the transfer of infringing goods.
Fenggang Customs under Huangpu Customs recently seized 3,088 fake export Labubu blind boxes.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Patent Law of China, which aims to protect the lawful rights and interests of patentees, encourage invention and creation, and promote scientific, technological, economic, and social progress.
Customs in Guangdong are also working with local intellectual property departments, public security authorities, and courts at all levels to build a comprehensive IP protection system across the entire chain.
