Guangzhou's Nansha offers one-stop access to over 500 services for international talent

In recent years, Nansha District in Guangzhou has established a comprehensive service system for international talent, leading to an increasing number of international professionals choosing to live and work in Nansha.

On September 8, 2022, the Guangzhou Immigration Service Center Nansha Branch (referred to as the "Nansha Branch Center") was officially launched.

"I can submit materials here, which saves me a special trip to Guangzhou's city center. It's very convenient," said Su Zepu, a British-Chinese teacher who obtained the Foreign Permanent Residence ID Card at this center.

The Nansha Branch Center employs a collaborative approval process involving immigration departments at the provincial, municipal, and district levels, pioneering an innovative service model in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As a result, it has shortened review times by about 45 days and significantly improved the experience of applying for the Foreign Permanent Residence ID Card for high-level international talent in Guangzhou.

The Nansha Branch Center collaborates with local government departments to provide one-stop services, including science and technology and taxation. These services encompass visa documentation, work permits in China, tax processing, and the recognition of high-level talents.

To ensure that international talent fully benefits from policies, the Nansha Branch Center regularly organizes seminars on immigration, entry-exit facilitation, and other related policies affecting life and work in China.

Additionally, a "Talent Service Station" has been set up on the campus of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). It provides services including immigration consultations and processing, talent policy consultation, and promotional sessions for staff and students. The station offers 24/7 online consultation support.
