Yunfu's Luoding Sports Park set to open by end of 2025

Recent progress has been made on the Luoding Sports Park project in Yunfu, Guangdong. Originally expected to be operational in the first half of 2026, the park is now on track to complete construction and open to the public by the end of December this year.

Located at the junction of Luocheng Subdistrict (罗城街道), Sulong Subdistrict (素龙街道), and Fucheng Subdistrict (附城街道) in Luoding, the sports park is designed around the concept of physical fitness and integrates with the surrounding natural environment. Featuring a wide range of sports venues and facilities, it will serve as a multifunctional space for fitness, leisure, and recreation, providing residents with convenient and comprehensive sports and recreational services upon completion.

With a total investment of nearly 80 million yuan and covering an area of over 100,000 square meters, the park has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate the diverse fitness needs of local residents. It will include 18 specialized sports areas, including one standard 11-a-side football field, four basketball courts, one tennis court, eight table tennis tables, and two volleyball courts.

In addition, the park will feature a 2-kilometer network of fitness trails, hiking paths, and cycling tracks. Other supporting facilities will include rest corridors, viewing pavilions, a convenience service center, public restrooms, ground-level parking, a main entrance plaza, solidified auxiliary roads, and new access roads on the north and south sides. These facilities aim to provide residents with a wider variety of recreational options beyond sports.

Currently, construction teams are making significant progress on key phases such as roadbed installation and foundational work for the sports venues. Meanwhile, the main structures of the convenience service center, public restrooms, and other supporting facilities are also advancing in parallel.
