After a mild autumn with limited cold air influence, Guangzhou is finally set to experience a noticeable temperature plunge as a new cold front approaches. According to meteorological forecasts, the city may see highs of only around 20°C and lows of 13°C by November 18, prompting residents to unpack their warmer clothing in preparation.
The Guangzhou Meteorological Observatory indicated that on November 12–13, the city will be mostly cloudy with gradually weakening winds and maximum temperatures between 24°C and 25°C.
Meanwhile, the Guangdong Meteorological Observatory reported that on November 12, parts of eastern Guangdong will experience light to moderate rain influenced by the periphery of Typhoon "Phoenix." By November 13, eastern areas will become partly cloudy with isolated drizzles, and by November 14, most of the province will see sunny to cloudy skies.
Additionally, both the typhoon's outer circulation and the incoming cold air will bring stronger winds to the northeastern part of the South China Sea and coastal areas of eastern Guangdong on November 12.

November 12: Overcast to cloudy with light rain in eastern Guangdong, partly heavy rain; other areas will be cloudy. Low temperatures: 14–16°C in northern Guangdong and northern Zhaoqing and Yunfu, 19–22°C in southern coastal cities, and 17–19°C elsewhere.
November 13: Eastern areas will be cloudy with localized drizzle; most other regions will be partly cloudy. Lows: 13–16°C in northern Guangdong and northern Zhaoqing and Yunfu, 18–21°C in southern coastal areas, and 16–18°C in other areas.
November 14: Mostly sunny to cloudy across the province. Lows: 14–16°C in northern Guangdong and northern Zhaoqing and Yunfu, 18–22°C along the southern coast, and 16–18°C elsewhere.
Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather information as the week progresses and prepare for a significant cooldown by mid-November.
